Brokeness by Graham Cooke

Brokenness: Graham Cooke

“If you have got a really high calling on your life, you have to go down low. It’s just part of the deal. And the depths that you allow God to take you will tell you how far God can bring you up into a place of prominence. You don’t let God take you into the depths; he can’t take you into the heights.”

“You can’t come into the fullness of God unless you go through brokenness.”

“You are either going to wait for God or you are going to promote yourself. You have to move from distress through development in God’s time. Development is where God is rebuilding our character and he is producing a true servant with a capacity for sacrifice.”

“People destroy with their character what they have built with their gift unless transformation has occurred.”

“The very pit, the very dry hole that you are in, becomes a well as the Holy Spirit fills you up with the truth and presence of God.”

“Everything that God speaks to you, he gives you a test to establish that Word in your life.”

“You can’t take ground from the enemy if he has ground in you.”

“All the rest of your life, all you are, is a servant of the Lord.”

“His presence will fill the area that you submit to Him.”

“God deserves your excellence. He deserves an excellent church.  How many of us have an actual written down plan to be the best for God? A vision without a plan is just wishful thinking.”

(16:40) “God knows the pain that you have gone through. He knows the difficulties. He knows what it costs your right now. You know what grieves him the most? Is that we have gone through all this grief and all this pain and we haven’t claimed the things he wanted to give us. We haven’t found them in him. We just got bitter. We just got resentful. We went through all that and we didn’t get a touch from God. We went through all that and we didn’t hold on to God. Because all we did was look at the circumstances. All we did was look at the people. We didn’t look beyond those things to see the fine hand of God at work. So we never got the chance to kneel down and kiss the hand that hurts. What grieves God is not that some of us backslid. It’s not some of us let go of God and walked away from church and now we find our way back. It’s not that we went through all those things. It’s that we went through all of that and all the things he most wanted to give us we never claimed. It was always, and ever will be, about you and the Lord becoming best friends.”

“You will hear something from God’s heart that will totally ruin you, and totally make you, in the same moment. You are going to receive the Love of God in a way in which you have never received it ever before. You will go through this time and look back on it and you’ll rejoice. You’ll say ‘thank God I went through all of that. What a great time that was for me. Yeah, it hurt. But to have what I have right now, I’d go through that again four times worse. ”

Wow. Baptized in 2010, and almost immediately, my little family & I BROKE, immensely.
Heartbroken, I made my way to a new church in a new city & found His answers. When I told a new friend the whole story, he told me God has put a huge calling on my life. I didn’t know what that meant, till by and by.
4 1/2 years into this, and another friend told me to look you up. This really clears things up. Very lucid. Thank you Graham. God bless you and your beautiful family. Praise Jesus !
